Church School
At Oakhill Church School we are very lucky to have a strong relationship with All Saints’ Church and Reverend Richard. The School and Church are located only feet apart which enables the school to make full use of the facilities.
Our children lead a church service every two to three weeks in All Saints’ Church with parents and the wider community arriving to support the children in worship. Weeks where we are not leading worship in Church, Reverend Richard comes into school to lead worship for us.
Our school families and the wider community regularly attend worship with our children and for key events in the Christian calendar the Church invites pupils and staff to join these events.
As a School we have a daily act of collective worship or assembly. This includes Church/Vicar led worship, Teacher led worship, House assemblies and worship through singing. Over the course of the year we have a Values focus each term. This value directs the worship and themes for that term.
Our school values direct the worship themes for each half term and we use the Roots and Fruits resource to support our Christian worship and spiritual and moral development.
